KeyLogic is seeking a Windows Sys Admin that has an active Secret or Q clearance to support one of our Department of Energy contracts in the Albuquerque, NM area.

Currently, this position is onsite in Albuquerque. The selected candidate must be able to reliably commute or be open to relocating to the Albuquerque area. If offered the position, a government background investigation would be required for a security clearance. Since this position falls under the Department of Energy, the clearance does require exclusive US Citizenship (i.e., no dual citizenship).

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working on a team and using their knowledge, experience, and expertise to tackle the most complicated problems. You will work with the “CAD” group which provides Sandia's largest 3D printing capability in polymers. The team provides IT support services for various CAD applications along with CAD Hardware and Software management, and CAD library management.

Responsibilities:

On any given day, you may be called to:

• Provide users with interactive issue troubleshooting in a complex computing hardware and software environment
• Monitor user issue tickets through to resolution by other support teams and document resolutions in a knowledge base
• Work with application and system supporters to identify advanced solutions to user issues
• Perform computer builds, upgrades, maintenance, and diskless/disk full/VDI support

Qualifications:

To accomplish this, you will need two years’ experience providing server/desktop system administrative support with Windows desktop/server operating systems and knowledge of, and desire to follow IT Operations best practices and procedures such as issue management and incident response.

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in IT user support role
• Two or more years of experience with Windows machine builds
• Two or more years of experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting physical hardware, peripherals and attached computing devices
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
• Effective oral and written communications skills along with a strong customer service commitment
• Experience working with application vendors to understand, implement and maintain applications.
• Familiar with information security best practices
• Currently a DOE Q security clearance

Additional Requirements:

Experience writing documentation for internal processes and customer facing products and services

Pay: $80,100.00 - $87,000.00 per year
