Direct full time hire in Bloomington MN area
Up to 50% travel to nearby cities/towns
Starting at $30/hr+ based on experience
FGIA Certification strongly preferred
Required Experience:
- Preferred minimum 2-years of building enclosure or construction/glass experience.
- Currently holds or is willing to earn the FGIA Fenestration Associate or FGIA Fenestration Master Professional Certification.
- Computer proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License and clear driving record.
Responsibilities:
- Work type will vary but consist primarily of performing field fenestration testing services. AMAA accredited window testing agency.
- Additional building enclosure field services to include, but not limited to:
- Building enclosure observations and testing for roofing, waterproofing, and wall / air barrier / EIFS systems.
- Building enclosure condition assessments and forensic investigations.
- Help with maintaining equipment.
- Providing daily reports.
- Mentoring from and working with licensed architects/engineers.
- Will need to learn procedures and gain experience with ASTM, AAMA, and other standards.
Required Skills:
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Travel out of town up to 25% - 50% of the time.
- Ability to lift minimum 50 pounds.
- The employee will need to have the ability to walk through a project or jobsite, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, carry, touch and climb. This can be in a combination of tightly enclosed areas, or on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding. At times the job can be physically demanding and involves interior and exterior work in all weather conditions.
