Hubbell Industrial Controls, Inc., located in Archdale, NC, is a worldwide leader and manufacturer of various AC and DC industrial motor controls, components, and accessories. Along with these industrial duty products, Hubbell also services the fire protection and fire safety market.
Position Overview
Weld and assemble parts used in the production areas. Assist with the operation of the machines in the Machine Shop. Set up and operate CNC machining center from drawings and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all Welding and Brazing requirements.
- Assemble/Weld/Machine/Fabricate components according to prescribed methods and drawings.
- Identify ill-fitting/defective parts or machine malfunctions affecting quality.
Qualifications:
- Certified welder (Mig, Tig) / Torch silver Braze / Must be able to weld/braze copper, brass, mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanized steel.
- Must be able to operate cutoff saw, press brake, shear, hydraulic press, drill press, sander, milling machine, lathes, band saw, iron worker, riveter machines, sanders, sandblaster, tapping table, hand held pneumatic tools, hand held power tools, and various manual hand tools.
- Basic schematic/print reading experience required. Must be able to read and understand measuring tools; calipers, tape measure, protractor, filler gauges using standard and metric units of measure.
- Must be able to read order and material lists.
- 5+ years previous experience as a Welder/Machinist/Fabricator
- Knowledge of CNC Machinist Set up, Edit, Programming a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit or stand for up to 10 hours .
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs unassisted and additional weight with assistance.
