S. Katzman Produce, a leading produce wholesaler/distributor based in NYC, is seeking Warehouse Workers to join our growing team. This is a great role for someone who likes to stay active, is constantly moving, and enjoys variety in their work. This entry-level warehouse worker position is a great starting point for a successful career. You’ll get a crash course in customer service, supply chain logistics, and the produce industry. Warehouse workers are responsible for the unloading, loading, counting, inspecting, storing, picking, and completing of orders. They’re a crucial part of our business because they work with many other team members, interact with customers, and fulfill many of our customer needs.

We are a 24 hour 6 day a week operation so will require some flexibility in terms of scheduling. Scheduling preference is determined by seniority so shifts can not always be guaranteed.

While you are here you will:

• Interact with customers, delivering great customer service
• Unload trucks and put away products
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (Pick, unload, label, store)
• Actively maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Optimize space utilization, remove empty pallets, and discard wrap, tape, straps, trash, and recyclables into appropriate areas
• Build customer orders properly to ensure the quality and condition of the product
• Select proper items and ensure merchandise is securely stacked, stored, and leveled
• Operate equipment including forklift and pallet jack (training and certification will be provided)
• Complete assigned tasks with quality and attention to detail, following proper guidelines and standards
• Actively maintain a clean and safe working environment, in accordance with SQF and OSHA standards
• This is an open environment warehouse, so must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions
