Job Duties

Western State Hospital is seeking a Storekeeper/Warehouse Specialist II to maintain a clothing store for 250 or more patients. They will provide teachable experience in retail shopping/work while fostering a sense of pride in appearance. This position is responsible for maintaining Clothes aRe US store, staging room, and Volunteer Services; receive, process, and document all regular donations; provide appropriate donation documentation; complete clothing requests and distribute within two days of receiving; and prepare monthly and annual reports to distribute to the Volunteer Services Director.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Current Driver's License required. Considerable knowledge in fashion merchandise appropriate for patients in the hospital setting; demonstrated ability to work with patients with disabilities; considerable knowledge in the use of printing and marketing equipment; certified ability to operate fork-lift is required; demonstrated ability to perform clerical duties; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with staff, patients, and a wide range of donors/volunteers required.

Preferred Qualifications:

College courses in recreation or related fields preferred; knowledge of the principles and practices of recreation activities preferred. Bilingual and veteran's preferred.
