In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Position Purpose

Perform all aspects of warehousing requirements for DAPI-US regarding the General Warehouse, Hazardous Storage, Cold Storage, functioning as part of a high-performance work team. In addition to cold storage & general warehouse, must be able to perform duties in all of the following areas: SAP/ERP Inventory Control to include Material Put-away.


Accountabilities

  • Handling, labelling, and storage of all hazardous materials occupying up to 10,000 sq. feet of warehouse space inclusive of Class 1 Division 2 items
  • Handling, labelling, and storage of GMP non-hazardous materials for the DAPI site
  • Process material handling operations for hazardous materials in drum, pallet and IBC configurations
  • Partner with warehouse sampling operations in completion of tasks as appropriate
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
  • Daily inspections of the forklifts, warehouse, cold rooms, & freezer
  • Maintain up to date training status
  • Inventory Control of all warehouse materials to include stock put-away & retrieval
  • Label inbound material
  • Pull & stage pallets for sampling team as required
  • Store material in proper storage area/type as defined in SAP/ERP
  • Ensure compliance with load/unload procedures
  • Ensure all material movements are performed timely & accurately in SAP/ERP
  • System knowledge in SAP/ERP: Utilization of system transactions to perform transfer of material, and inventory adjustments


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of six months of warehousing or manufacturing experience or equivalent, preferably in a Regulatory Inspected Facility, GMP warehouse or pharmaceutical industry
  • Basic math skills including knowledge of metric system
  • Ability to read, write legibly & understand all department documentation
  • Ability to drive non-CDL box truck or similar vehicle for movement of materials on site


Desired Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or advanced training in Warehousing & Logistics from APICS or equivalent desired
  • Computer competencies required, including basic Microsoft knowledge: Outlook & Word
  • Knowledge of SAP/ERP to include entry level Warehouse tasks
  • Good written & verbal communication skills
  • Training or experience demonstrating an understanding of risks inherent to processing, handling & storage of hazardous materials
  • Ability to operate stand-up & sit-down forklifts after applicable training & maintain appropriate licensure
  • Proficient in all of the following areas: Issue Approved Materials (to scheduled production batches & processing of returns & rejects of materials from scheduled production batches), Material storage, labeling & inspection of incoming raw materials, maintain monthly & annual files as needed to support cGMP’s. Remove & dispose of expired materials. Offsite Warehouse (be familiar with all aspects of the operation of the offsite warehouse)
  • Good organizational skills. Ability to execute a work plan & adapt to changes in the schedule rapidly. Be self-motivated & able to work with little direct supervision


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Able to move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility
  • Able to routinely operate & inspect manufacturing equipment using hands
  • Able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • Able to constantly position oneself to transfer materials within manufacturing environment
  • Able to frequently move about the building to access other personnel & operational areas
  • Able to move throughout the facility to interact with other employees in the normal office & manufacturing environment
  • Corrected vision to 20/30 and/or ability to pass vision screening assessment necessary to procure motorized vehicle license
  • Able to ascend/descend a ladder to service equipment
  • Able to work atop elevated positions at heights
  • Able to secure/maintain a motorized vehicle license to operate Novo Nordisk owned equipment as needed
  • Able to work around odorous and/or hazardous materials
  • Able to perform critical job functions in extremely cold (-23C) work environments
  • Able to work within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment
  • Able to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
  • Able to work in outdoor weather conditions
  • Ability to wear a respirator to perform job duties (may be required to be clean shaven to pass a medical clearance for respiratory protection use)
