Introduction
Lineage Logistics are the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.
In our Hams Hall facility we supply food products to help keep supermarkets and restaurants stocked and supplied with food and drinks.
To support increasing customer demand, we are currently seeking Warehouse Operatives to load and unload pallets either into our warehouse or to be distributed to customers.
- 3 on 3 off 18:00-06:00
The role
In this role you will:
- Get a lot of exercise being on your feet all day and walking around our warehouse; the job is quite physical, and you will need to lift items such as boxes of food and bottles of drinks
- You will do this in a cold environment – the cold storage is approximately minus 25 Celsius – just like working in the freezer; but we provide full PPE including coats, hats and boots
- Learn to use powered pallet trucks and other material handling equipment
- Move pallets from the inbound area to locations inside the warehouse to be put away
- Report damaged products to your team leader or supervisor
- Wrap pallets to ensure they are safe to be transported
- We are working in a safety conscious environment, and you will need to follow safety procedures at all times
Who we're looking for:
- Accuracy is important so someone who likes to get things right first time
- Things are heavy so you will need to lift up to 18kg (that’s about 10 bags of sugar)
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
