Job description
Perform receiving, warehousing and shipping functions supporting service operations and inventory management. Enter information into the business system to process orders and ensure inventory accuracy. Deliver equipment to customer sites.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive incoming material from trucks using forklifts and cranes and verify materials received are correctly received and entered in the business system.
- Uncrate materials using hand and power tools.
- Work with others to coordinate movement of materials between warehouse and customer sites.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of material flow through the shipping bay and warehouse.
- Coordinate and arrange inventory storage based on the shipping and receiving schedule.
- Record and enter related serial numbers into the business system to ensure proper tracking of items.
- Coordinate and direct truck drivers in preparation for loading.
- Package equipment and/or components for shipment and load material onto trucks for shipment or for delivery to customer sites.
- Confirm the Bill of Materials with items being shipped.
- Disburse inventory items to appropriate locations
- Perform basic arithmetic, intermediate typing and understand metric measurements.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School or GED, plus two years of warehousing experience, or equivalent education and experience.
- Applicable safety/operations training required to operate certain machinery and equipment (e.g., fork truck, crane).
