Job description
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for a wide range of warehouse duties including but not limited to: baling, sorting, moving and stacking of donated items, providing secondary support at the dock to receive donations, and with loading and unloading of goods. This individual works with the Production Manager to ensure the efficient flow of goods and merchandise to and from the warehouse and sales floor.
The Warehouse Assistant must
- Be able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Work efficiently independently and as part of a team
- Sort multiple containers of materials to determine what is sellable, recyclable, or trash in a fast and productive manner
- Process and prepare materials and merchandise for the sales floor within established time-frames, and consistently meet established goals
- Safely use pallet jacks and furniture moving equipment
