SUMMARY:

The warehouse and Inventory clerk is responsible for processing material movements within organization to support the day to day operations of receiving and processing parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for keeping safety as the #1 priority in all functions within the warehouse, with an emphasis on housekeeping.

Check parts when delivered for accuracy according to packing list or invoice with part # and QTY

Forklift Operations

Initiates and performs cycle count with help from parts consultants if required

Becomes proficient in MERP transactions for warehouse and inventory management.

Maintains a neat and orderly warehouse.

Maintenances bin locations and parts numbers

Make inventory adjustments as need to keep inventory accurate while also informing the Director of Inventory.

Loads and unloads trucks as needed.

Operate basic hand tools.

Assists in over-the-counter order when needed.

Support service technicians when needed.

Supports in issuing parts to work orders when needed.

Remain current with the most up to date Hino and Isuzu training for dealership credibility

Makes recommendations to the Director of Inventory on parts that need to be placed in stock and has those first approved by the Director of Inventory to ensure proper company investment.

Receive parts, including placing them into inventory in correct locations and properly labeling them.

Minimizes drafted documents such as but not limited to purchase orders, material receipts and sales orders.

Gain proficiency in parts knowledge and continue growing as new products are introduced

Employ superior listening skills and assess customers’ needs.

Be available to work overtime on short

Successfully complete all required training

Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Experience with medium and heavy duty truck and equipment parts
