Role Summary/Purpose:

As key member of Emerging Channel team, this role will deliver great customer experience, that is consistent with Synchrony brand, by working with a team of digital channel strategists and Product owners. This role will partner with product development teams, client marketing and sales teams to identify and recommend roadmap for the channel. In addition, this role will be responsible for the work of dedicated IT agile teams and will be responsible for delivery of projects to stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop and drive the roadmap for digital marketing channels, inclusive of the consumer and partner vision, as well as relevant marketplace trends and competitive assessments.

  • Own the business architecture of solutions across digital marketing channels

  • Manage and prioritize the flow of work, including coordination of multiple teams using Scaled Agile methodology.

  • Participate and co-lead the Agile Program Increment (PI) planning to define releases.

  • Participate and co-lead the product steering committee meetings and work with stakeholders on prioritization and issues.

  • Own the overall delivery of all technical aspects of digital marketing channels, including B2C and B2B websites, Native app for servicing and success of digital media investments.

  • Execute Critical projects for all digital channel and Tools development

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for Synchrony web properties

  • Conduct A/B and multi-variate tests and optimize and propose best path forward for solutions

  • Lead execution of an omni-channel content strategy that enables engagement and conversion through email, social and online

    • Work with client marketing managers to create digital campaigns and solutions

    • Project manage best practice execution of relevant creative (e.g., seasonal banners, landing pages, ad bricks)

    • Develop expertise in real-time personalization strategies

    • Work with Site Catalyst and analytics team to set and report on KPIs

    • Educate colleagues on best practices, what's working and what's not

    • Contribute to social marketing/content amplification planning and execution for our division, in partnership with the corporate social team

    • Partner with others on team and across the business to develop and support omni-channel marketing

  • Develop and optimize site content

    • Ensure proper tagging at the page and site levels

    • Manage and optimize SEO strategy

  • Communicate market, competitor and user insights to inform our customer experience strategies and product planning

  • Effectively manage projects and lead vendor/agency relationships as needed

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 7 years of digital marketing experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of digital marketing experience that includes experience developing and executing personalization, SEO tactics, tagging technology, data integration and Web and App technology platforms

  • Strong understanding of marketing processes and creative development

  • Positive, high-energy attitude with a passion for digital marketing and content.

  • You are in-the-know of all things digital and can speak well to the latest trends in web experience, content, mobile, ecommerce, payments, etc.

  • Enjoy a balance of strategic work with hands-on-implementation

  • Organized, resourceful and results-driven; tenacity to get stuff done.

  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Can self-manage and work autonomously with a remote, dispersed team

Grade/Level: 12


The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual


Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
