Job Summary:
Provides vocational training, vocational counseling, employability skills and social interpersonal skills in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures. It provides a learning experience in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains in education.

Job Duties:
Instructs the students in particular subject matter, assigns student appropriate tasks, and conducts relevant laboratory experiences in the assigned vocational area. Reviews, tests and evaluates the students' work and knowledge in compliance with the appropriate criteria/guidelines, and counsel them about progress and performance. Assesses, develops and maintains instructional materials, an inventory of supplies and equipment, and coordinates with academics in appropriate crosswalk. Prepares, maintains, and submits internal and external records and documents. Participates in various activities outside of the classroom, as required. Maintains classroom discipline utilizing mandated criteria/guidelines. Establishes vocational linkages. Stabilizes and strengthens self-concept of all students in order to become functional and employable in society. Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional two years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Working in a vocational or
alternative education entity preferred; instruction, curriculum development, and/or implementation;
employment, education, training, or transition plans; working with federal programs; counseling; student
discipline; specialized training.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that
meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
Oklahoma State Teaching Certificate preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
