Position Summary
This position collaborates with the Principal Investigator and project researchers to develop objectives of the Public Health Population Health Analytics Metrics and Evaluation (PHAME) center of the UIC School of Public Health. The position coordinates and manages activities and projects of the PHAME center, assists in advancing the mission and work of the PHAME center, manages and coordinates PHAME center research assistants, assists in PHAME center grant proposal developments, assists in developing research, grant and other reports and their submissions, assists in regulatory processes, manages and coordinates PHAME Center work across different projects and different partners.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator and other grant researchers to develop objects of the research project.
  • Work with UIC School of Public Health Population Health Analytics Metrics and Evaluation (PHAME) center investigators and researchers in advancing the mission and work of the PHAME center
  • Manage and coordinate different projects of the PHAME center across different health atlases, different projects, and different partners.
  • Coordinate the work of PHAME center across its different partners.
  • Manages PHAME center research assistants and other personnel.
  • Works with budgeting personnel for PHAME center financial management.
  • Organize PHAME center meetings. Participate in PHAME center meetings. Document PHAME center meetings for tracking and post-meeting mining.
  • Contributes material, prepares results and assists in development of grant proposals, in structuring, writing, and formatting proposals.
  • Assist the Principal Investigator in grant/manuscript submissions; bridge with School of Public Health Office of Research Services for grant proposal development and submission
  • Assists in developing and submitting reports to funding agencies.
  • Lead development of PHAME center reports and updates.
  • Assists in regulatory processes, such as in Institutional Review Board applications.
  • Work with UIC School of Public Health Communications and Marketing team in advancing PHAME center communications and marketing. Assist in PHAME center website maintenance and revision.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management.
  • Working with diverse investigators and collaborators.
  • Grant writing and reporting.
  • Communication with community, media, and other.
