Job description

The job of a Video Researchers is to identify and acquire videos and other content from submissions to the Group’s relevant social media pages and websites (namely Facebook). To ensure the best content is being posted across the Group’s social media pages to drive engagement, compiling analytics and KPIs.


What will you be doing?

  • Meet set targets for viewing, processing and tagging videos and other media content submitted to the Group
  • Reporting directly to the Submissions & Acquisition Manager on a daily basis to provide an overview of conversions, analytics and statistics
  • Meet set targets for verifying and acquiring submitted videos
  • Increasing usage of videos on the Group’s social media pages and websites
  • Increasing usage and distribution of videos by the content licensing team
  • Identifying high quality video submissions and other content
  • Carrying out copyright and contractual checks on the content
  • Describing videos in a way to drive engagement
  • Building effective and engaging relationships with the submission community ensuring all queries are replied to within set time frames.
  • Collaborating with all content teams to continuously increase usage of submissions
  • Identifying and researching popular subjects for compilations
  • Collaborating with the licensing team to increase the maximum potential value of submissions
  • Identifying videos to meet the licensing team’s briefs
  • Compiling daily analytics on usage of video across the Group’s social media pages
  • Daily checking of Facebook and Instagram and removing inappropriate comments (and blocking users where necessary) in line with our new guidelines.

What do you need to have done before?

  • A passion for video content and an understanding of social media
  • Polite and professional approach and looks to represent the company well at all times
  • Strong communicator in written form, over phone and email
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organised and proficient in Microsoft Office
