Responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of all performance improvement activities and corporate compliance activities of the corporation. This position will be responsible for determining and monitoring compliance with all regulations (state and federal) that relate to the provision of care of those served in the various divisions of Bethesda Health Group. A Compliance Management Committee, chaired by the Compliance Officer, comprised of the President/CEO, SVP Healthcare Services and SVP Independent Living will provide direction to the process. Responsible for legal issues that may arise by managing the litigation process.
Job Qualifications:
- Education and Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a health-related field.
- MBA, MHA, or JD highly preferred.
- Five-ten years of progressive experience in health care management (long term or acute care).
- Experience in risk management and/or legal and regulatory compliance highly preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care settings.
- Skills and Abilities
- A proactive, outgoing personality and excellent communication skills (oral and written) are required.
- Other qualities include professional presence with an ability to make presentations in a variety of settings, good organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy and discretion.
