The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for developing and sustaining an integrated marketing organization structure by partnering with sales, parts, service, and all Warren CAT businesses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the marketing department in support of Warren CAT’s vision, mission and values
  • Gather and analyze customer, competitor and other market information to continually identify opportunities, threats and customer purchasing trends and succinctly communicate them to relevant stakeholders within WCAT
  • Responsible for creating marketing plans for all Warren CAT business units (Machine, Engines, Ag, Rental, Technology etc) Creates strategies and tactics (marketing plan) with the output being integrated marketing campaigns and programs that are connected to the sales organization and the process of sales execution. Drive customer focused business decisions supported by data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain systems and department metrics that adequately measure, track and manage marketing effectiveness.
  • Participate in sales coverage planning, sales forecasting, Cat business plan development and is an integral part of the WCAT strategic planning process.
  • Develop and continually refine WCAT Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy and proactively works with business units to manage activities that will allow for effective use of our CRM system.
  • Execute programs that promote a high public image of WCAT through the use of building signage, advertising and promotion to leading industry standards while complying with Cat brand identity requirements.
  • Manage external vendors that provide data services and marketing support.
  • Manages annual budget for marketing. Updates and revises budget yearly in accordance with WCAT guidelines.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all key suppliers.
  • Adheres to all customer care standards.
  • Develops and administers marketing databases that include prospects, customer information, access to financial documents and reports application of mailing list, etc.
  • Builds and maintains marketing team that is competent, dedicated industry astute and efficient.
  • Supports and enables the collaboration between marketing and all other functions of WCAT.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 6 - 10 employees in the Marketing Department, in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • BS/BA in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 8 years progressive marketing experience with at least 3 years managing a marketing department within a comparable type business
  • Experience in a two tier distribution model covering similar markets i.e. construction, highway, agriculture, quarry and mining, power generation or trucks.
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising as it relates to capital goods distribution
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • General computer literacy.
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
