Overview:

The Seminole Tribe has long been recognized for innovation in its gaming and other businesses. It opened the first high-stakes bingo hall and casino in the United States in 1979. That facility was the forerunner of the Indian Gaming movement throughout North America.

Analysts believe today’s Seminole Tribe operates one of the most profitable gaming enterprises in the world. In March 2007, the Seminole Tribe of Florida acquired Hard Rock International, the first transaction of its kind by an Indian tribe. Hard Rock International is one of the most globally recognized music, entertainment, leisure and dining brands. It includes the world’s largest collection of authentic music memorabilia. The deal also includes licensing or franchise agreements for additional restaurants, hotels and Hard Rock Live performance venues.

Under the supervision of the Executive Vice President of Finance CFO / C.O.O. HRI, the incumbent, both personally and through the property Directors of Casino Credit & Collections, oversees the Credit / Collection processes for the six Seminole Gaming Casinos in Florida(SGA). In addition this position will evaluate and approve all requests that are above $250,000 and up to $1,000,000 for SGA Casinos and provide senior leadership with a complete evaluation and recommendation for all requests that are above $1,000,000. Additional responsibilities may require that this position assist leadership in Shared Services/HRI during the critical path process for new HRI casino projects/ re branding of existing projects.
Responsibilities:
May include but are not limited to:
  • Develop relationships and promote player development involvement with new and existing customers
  • Work with player development to increase growth in the credit sector
  • Compiles accurate gaming history on preferred customers through direct contact with properties, to provide senior management with the most accurate and complete gaming profile for decisions. Provides highest level of personal service and attention to the needs of Casino Credit patrons
  • Obtains sensitive and confidential information in a safe, private and confidential setting
  • Assist in the preparation and review of standardized Internal Controls and training materials for all property locations, related to Credit and Collections.
  • Make and implement changes for improvement in Credit and Collections process.
  • Review and analyze gaming systems, develop procedures for implementation of existing gaming systems and make recommendations for new technology and efficiencies.
  • Evaluates credit and return activity
  • Works diligently to support the culture and team philosophy throughout the organization
  • Acts as a role model to all employees and encourages other to do the same
  • Promotes positive public relations and creates an enjoyable atmosphere for all customers

  • Maintains confidentiality of all trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
  • Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience
  • Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals
  • Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and five (5) years of accounting/financial management experience in the casino industry or an equivalent amount of education and experience
  • Must have extensive experience with credit reporting systems, preferably Central and National Credit Check
  • Must have strong knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must possess knowledge of casino operations, casino credit and internal controls
  • Must possess ability to effectively direct and manage team members
  • Must possess ability to read and understand all policies and procedures
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, vendors and team members
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities
  • Must possess ability to handle non-standard situations where independent judgement is required and limited guidelines exist
  • Must apply for, obtain and remain eligible for the appropriate Gaming License by jurisdiction
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities


WORK ENVIRONMENT
:

  • The working conditions are those typically found in an indoor, climate controlled office environment. Will be exposed to casino related factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise, large crowds and stress related to servicing guests in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.


As part of the employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check for those gaming jurisdiction requiring a license to perform some or all of the functons of this position. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
