Stony Run Veterinary Center is seeking a caring, friendly veterinary receptionist/technician assistant to join our team. We are a fast paced small animal practice located in Thomasville, Pa. Applicants must have the ability to multitask, work independently with minimum supervision and possess excellent attention to detail. Excellent client communication skills and compassion are necessary. Part time or full time employment, including 2 evenings per week and no weekends. Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

-Front-desk reception; Answer phones, schedule appointments, enter and review charges and discharge patients.

-Communicate with clients in clear, compassionate manner and relay information to/from the client to the veterinarian.

-Record information concerning nature of visits in the patient medical record, including any abnormalities and communicate with veterinarian. File all lab work and paperwork in the correct order in the medical chart.

- Assist coworkers with maintaining a clean hospital and restock supplies.

- Assist veterinarian and co-workers in canine and feline restraint, exams, venipuncture, catheter placement and radiology.

- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.

-Accurately perform diagnostic testing such as digital radiology, blood chemistries, urinalysis, cytology and fecals.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
