We are currently seeking a Vegetable Seeds Planning & Supply Manager for our seeds team in Pasco, WA. As the Vegetable Seeds Planning & Supply Manager, you will secure successful management of all regional planning and operations processes for Large Seed Vegetable (LSV) and Roots & Bulbs throughout the United States Vegetables Supply Chain to the benefit of all the markets served.

You will enhance the prosperity of farmers by:

  • Take the lead in the different projects, develop and implement structural improvements in the vegetable supply organization in relation to the LSV / R&B business.
  • Represent the United States LSV / R&B business to assure the Supply meets the needs of the Vegetable business with a focus on communication, information, quality, profitable growth and innovation.
  • Manage inventories located within the United States in line with market inventory policies and S&OP processes.

Accountabilities

  • Manage Processing and Logistics Planning alongside operational excellence through the United States processing plants and 3rd party tollers.
  • Manage intercompany order management processes and people in support of the Global vegetable business.
  • Coordination of NPI Sample seeds, inventory management to ensure proper quality for trials are available, and coordinate the sample seed flow.
  • Establish and develop supply planning capabilities (people, process, organization & technology/assets)
  • Support the monthly Vegetable Pre-ESOP process, ensuring agreement on solutions to overcome risks and constraints, ensuring active participation in the plants ROP.
  • Ensure crop focus collaboration across functions (e.g. Territories, Regional Marketing & Sales, AOL, Global R&D, Production and Finance) as required.
  • Manage inventory processes throughout the United States assuring compliance with Syngenta practices.
  • Manage inventory discards and approve monthly the provision budget for LSV. Proactively identify inventory constraints (surplus, quality, under-over forecasting) and drive resolutions.
  • Provide change leadership for efforts towards shared services in these functions.

Qualifications


Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in seeds horticultural/agricultural business or supply chain.
  • Bachelor’s degree Planning, or Logistics for Supply Chain activities or equivalent field experience
  • Experience in working / leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and or departments.
  • Understanding of the full scope of the Supply Area at a conceptual level (Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Finance).
  • Functional knowledge of planning, territories and commercial units, processing, testing, packing and shipment.
  • Quality management principles and understanding of process flows and developing structural solutions.
  • Team building and Change Management skills.
