Job summary

This position is responsible for performing customer transactions in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner. Provide an Authentic Customer Experience to every customer, every time. This will include opening new accounts, servicing and maintaining existing accounts, handling teller transactions, customer inquiries, and any and all other customer interactions as needed.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a Part-time position. Must be available during the hours of Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with occasional Saturdays. Hours and work shift may change in accordance with business needs.

Essential Duties

  • Perform branch opening and closing procedures in a manner compliant with our security procedures.
  • Greet lobby guests with eye contact and a warm welcome.
  • Process teller transactions.
  • Proficiently operate OSB software platforms including Core Teller, OnTarget, Synergy, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Provide an Authentic Customer Experience in handling customer inquiries. Utilize customer service skills to investigate and correct errors and resolve problems.
  • Conduct teller transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, selling monetary instruments, change orders, etc.
  • Maintain correct cash limits in drawer.
  • Accurately count and balance drawer daily in compliance with set monthly balancing goals.
  • Understand the bank’s funds availability policy and hold deposited funds as needed. Accurately fill out hold notices and provide to customers in the appropriate time allowed.
  • Accurately complete CTRs and monetary logs as needed.
  • Answer phone calls and provide friendly customer care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer records including CIF information and ID documents.
  • Handle account maintenance requests, address changes, customer disputes, stop payment orders, reset online banking PINs on Core, etc.
  • Provide customer product education as needed, including features of online and mobile banking platforms.
  • Ask open-ended questions to engage customers in product placement and on-boarding.
  • Accurately complete check and debit card orders.
  • Complete regulatory training as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of professional work experience, money-handling, or cashier experience preferred.

Physical requirements

This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 35 pounds of computer equipment).
  • May be required occasionally to stoop or kneel.
  • Accommodation may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodation.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal office environment.
  • Moderate noise level.
  • Hours are Monday-Friday 1pm-6pm with occasional Saturdays.
