Position Summary

As Unit Clerk you will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties associated with patient care. Working closely with the nursing team, patients and visitors you will be;

• Communicating.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Accurately completing and processing patient charts.
• Transcribing physician orders.
• Auditing patient charts.
• Notifying Pharmacy of new physician orders.
• Ordering Emergency Department Supplies.
• Completes requests for non-medical services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of medical terminology or be willing to complete an educational program on medical terminology within 3 months
