We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our firm is looking for a Trial Department Assistant II to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing support to attorneys and clients during the trial phase of unlawful detainer cases, including accompanying attorneys to court in the Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities:
  • Go to court with attorneys, note court results and interface with clients when the attorney is attending other matters.
  • Maintain communication with attorneys regarding upcoming court cases.
  • Contact clients prior to trial to confirm dates, times, and court locations.
  • Update case management system and clients with court results.
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of trials.

This is a full-time position. Some travel to court required. Parking and mileage reimbursed.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to court.
The following qualifications are preferred:
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program OR law degree or current enrollment in a law school program; equivalent training/experience in lieu of education will suffice.
  • Formal legal training and/or trial experience.
  • Essential Forms, ProLaw, and Pacer efficiency.
  • Knowledge of unlawful detainers and local county court rules and procedures.

Schedule:
Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. Hybrid work from home options may be available on days when traveling to court is not required.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position begins at $24.00, depending on experience.
