Full Job Description
Ophthalmic consultants of Long Island are a specialty ophthalmology medical practice seeking a Retinal Photographer. This position performs retinal photography and diagnostic photographic studies including but not limited to fundus photography and retinal angiography. Ophthalmic technician/scribes are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Independently performs ophthalmic photography testing including OCT imaging, standard fundus photography, ultra-wide field fundus imaging, FAF and red-free fundus photography, fluorescein angiography and ICG testing on several different cameras.
- Obtains all needed clinical study certifications
- Candidate must enjoy working one on one with patients.
- Candidate must possess computer and communication skills.
- Experience with some retinal/ophthalmic imaging equipment.
- Travel is required between locations.
- Retina experience a plus but not necessary.
• Other duties as assigned
- Maintains equipment and imaging database integrity,
- Demonstrates positive, concerned and sensitive responses in the work environment
- Train new ophthalmic photographers in the refinement of testing skill and image acquisition

- Knowledge of ocular anatomy.
- Computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team orientation
- Phelobotomy a plus
