Project Help, Inc is the only Certified Rape Recovery and Victim Service Center in Collier County. Project Help works with dignity and compassion to ease the pain of those affected by rape, violence, crime or loss of a loved one.

We're looking for a Therapist who is experienced in working with survivors of trauma and/or victims of crime. We are looking for a strong and motivated individual who wants to be an integral part of our team.

Candidates for this position must have:

• The ability to relocate if considering applying from outside of Collier, Lee or Hendry County.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational and time management skills.
• Schedule flexibility to be a part of the on-call response team outside of business hours
• Ability to read and analyze professional journals and periodicals

Ability to write client related professional documents and case notes in a clear and concise manner.

• Ability to demonstrate clinical skills of empathy, joining, case conceptualization, assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of psychotherapy & counseling theory, treatment modalities and practice as it relates to trauma survivors, those with developmental trauma disorder; acute, chronic and complex stress disorders.
• Ability to diagnose behavioral health problems and disorders, and develop treatment plan based on a completed assessment
• Demonstrated knowledge of legal and ethical issues relevant to counseling
• Ability to model positive attitude, and healthy interpersonal boundaries with clients and staff
• Demonstrate assertive, respectful and effective conflict resolution skills with staff and clients
• Recognition that all members of a professional team matter equally
• Proven survival in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Strong skills in care-focused client service
• Ability to compassionately communicate with a variety of co-workers, Clients and community agencies
• Ability to work independently and exercise a high level of confidentiality
• Must be able to commute within and around Collier county and between Naples and Immokalee Offices Weekly

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying and assisting adult and minor victims of human trafficking and sexual assault in the Collier County area
• Provide crisis intervention, support, advocacy and case management services for victims of human trafficking, sexual assault, violent crime or sudden death.
• Assist clients in filing compensation & relocation claims, applying for Orders of Protection, U & T-Visas, accompany victim/family to court, law enforcement meetings and orient clients to the legal and court process
• Provide evidence-based trauma informed therapy services for individuals, groups, families and couples impacted by human trafficking, sexual assault, victims of crime and sudden death in the Naples & Immokalee Communities.
• Work with the Clinical and Executive Directors to confirm that the comprehensive response systems and developed protocols will utilize evidence-based practices to ensure victims and their families receive trauma-informed and strength-based, therapeutic services.
• Conduct mental health assessments for those populations assigned and working professionally with outside case managers.
• Maintain an awareness of current trends and relevant evidence-based practices to recommend changes in agency policy and practice to advance the use of appropriate clinical interventions and training;
• Provide regular feedback to staff writing professional reports, including clinical depth and breadth of service and concrete clinical progress and goals;
• Coordinate outside professional consultations, to include psychiatric and psychological when needed while ensuring documentation for consultations is completed in a timely and effective manner;
• Conduct monthly education prevention groups;
• Conduct trafficking and/or trauma assessments for clients, while also assisting in the pre and post outcome measurements;
• Report on outcome measures on a weekly basis;
• Provide individual counseling sessions based on caseload and/or coverage needs utilizing the trauma model for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT);
• Conduct the eligibility screening for in-person intake for potential and/or new clients;
• Maintain up-to-date clinical notes and records for all clients on a weekly basis;
• Notate the service needs and on-going service needs for all clients, while reporting on these measures weekly to the Clinical Director;
• Attend internal and external trainings, and apply newly gained knowledge on the job;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Florida license eligible as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

One year of experience in individual, family, and /or group counseling.

Must provide proof of liability insurance

Must have a reliable form of transportation, valid driver’s license and pass a Level 2 background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Professional experience in treating our target client populations; including adults and minor victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, child neglect and abuse, victims of crime, sudden & traumatic grief and loss, or those involved in the legal system, child welfare system while utilizing trauma focused approach.

Current Florida license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Bilingual English and Spanish (Preferred)

Professional Training in advanced trauma and human trafficking treatment modalities, art therapy, DBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, TIR, ART and/or mindfulness-based psychotherapy.

Experience in social justice oriented, community collaborative, and/or advocacy-based counseling practice.

Experience in Community Outreach: 2 years (Preferred)

Experience in Anti-Human Trafficking: 2 years (Preferred)
