Job Summary
Responsible for the safe, courteous movement of people and equipment within the hospital.
Job Duties
- Transports patients in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital in a timely manner.
- Transports materials in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital in a timely manner.
- Submits documentation to management on adherence to quality and performance standards.*
- Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly, removing unsafe equipment and notifying management.
- Ensures patient confidentiality.
- Cleans assigned equipment daily with approved germicidal solution according to departmental and infection control guidelines.
- Enters data into computer.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred.
- One year experience in patient contact in a hospital and/or healthcare facility preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Knowledge of personal computers
