Responsibilities

As Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the drivers who pick up, drive, and drop off patients at various locations as well as the dispatchers that live dispatch throughout the day. You will oversee the team and ensure their satisfactory performance, and you will also recruit, hire, and train new driver and dispatchers. You will oversee all aspects of the patient transportation experience and interact with drivers, dispatchers, patients, medical center staff and leadership.

As the Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining key performance metrics including but not limited to On-Time Performance, Transportation Related Expense Containment, and Driver Quality Scores. The Transportation Supervisor must ensure associates adhere to Humana’s and the Transportation Department’s Policies and Procedures.

Other duties will include the following:

  • Coordinating schedules for drivers.

  • Recruiting new drivers and ensuring all drivers follow state and federal government requirements.

  • Ensuring safety protocol is adhered to.

  • Conducting reviews with drivers to ensure they continually perform satisfactorily.

  • Ensuring all vehicles are safe, clean, and legally compliant with state government, federal government, and Humana requirements.

  • Coordinating maintenance and repairs on vehicles as necessary

  • Coaching and disciplining drivers/dispatchers as necessary

  • Gathering, record and interpret data regarding patient transportation provided by our Transportation Software

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience is required in related field

  • Minimum of 2 years or more of supervisory experience required

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Must be Bilingual English (read, write & speak) and Spanish (speak).

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with hours/shifts, location/hub (for coverage), with the potential for overtime working weekends and evenings based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required if candidate has related experience.

Center hours: Monday to Friday, must be willing to work a flexible shift, overtime and weekends as needed.

Vaccine Policy

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.

  • Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation
