JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage service for our Customers

• Ensure timely and damage free delivery; meeting on-time delivery promise for our customers
• Actively manage Carrier performance
• Proactive customer communication
• Support OC plant activities to ensure timely loading
• Verification of loading and delivery of material
• Leverage basic supply chain understanding to maximize value for our customers
• Recognizing and acting on customer opportunities
• Understand basic OC product knowledge

Grow financial value:

• Optimization of carriers to ensure cost effective delivery of goods
• Drive decision making around individual business strategy to best support customer expectations
• Identify rate gaps and related actions
• Analyze lane dynamics for cost saving opportunities
• Creating/consolidating shipments for OC customers and internal stock transfer orders in the most cost-effective manner
• Maximize utilization of dedicated fleet

Strive for a waste free environment

• Effectively use Lean Sigma methodology and tools to support a waste free environment
• Identify and take action to eliminate non-value-added activities within day to day operations

Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities

• Implement a personal safety action plan and review with leader
• Always adhere to the Owens Corning safety policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School degree

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Undergraduate Degree Preferred
• Supply chain knowledge and experience preferred
• Exposure to large integrated software systems (ERP, MRP, SAP,) preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Fluency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Knowledge of building materials industry preferred
• Supply Chain knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills
• Supportive and adaptive to change management initiatives

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $20.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Toledo, OH 43659: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Transportation knowledge: 2 years (Required)
• Logistics: 2 years (Required)
• SAP Supply Chain Management: 2 years (Required)
