High school diploma or GED; one year of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Three years of experience in public transportation preferred. Familiarity with electronic scheduling software. Prior experience driving multi-passenger vehicle, preferable para-transit, and working knowledge of vehicle maintenance is preferred. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Record must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.

The primary responsibilities of this position are answering of the Transportation Hotline; data entry into the CTS Scheduling System (ie: weekly demand trips, daily cancels, address changes or job changes); dispatch by relaying information in real time to both the drivers and Transportation Office staff; and if needed a second look at the schedule. Completion and submission of Medicaid Transportation billing to Modivcare monthly. Serve as back-up Van Driver when needed. Perform other work as required.
