Job description

The Transport Driver will be responsible for driving interstate, driving heavy rig equipment, pump or pressure control units to and from locations. The qualified person in this position will have their active Commercial Driver License (CDL), Class A with air brakes and tanker endorsements and understand associated rig equipment. This job, with appropriate training, may assist with some equipment functions to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs pre and post trip inspections on truck according to DOT and company maintenance checklist
  • Complies with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements
  • Maintains truck cleanliness and performs general maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Willing to drive company vehicles to national field locations, operate equipment in all types of weather conditions, and adhere to schedule determined by client demand.
  • Read maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
  • Maintain required DOT, Federal, State and company records including handwritten logs or digital logs, hours of service, payroll hours, vehicle inspections, job and maintenance
  • Maintain appropriate Class A driver’s license with Tanker endorsements.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Must be age eligible to drive interstate (DOT age requirement)
  • Must have active Commercial Driver License (CDL); Class A with Tanker endorsements
  • Must be able to travel as job requires
  • Mobility, including entering confined spaces, enter areas by the use of ladders or other access devices up to 15 ft.; ability to bend, stoop, twist, stand, squat, crawl and walk
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed in all weather conditions
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written; English preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
  • Basic math skills and problem solving and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and writing skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, to provide world class value to Axis customers
