Transitional Housing Program Manager

Full-Time

New Bedford, MA

The Transitional Housing program provides supportive services to individuals until placed in permanent housing. The Transitional Housing program is aimed at increasing independent living and self-sufficiency skills to achieve greater success as the participants move from transitional housing to permanent housing. Our Transitional Housing program aligns with the Housing First model, which is built into the philosophy and program delivery, and embedded into policies and procedures.

Transitional Housing provides case management services aimed at increasing opportunities for housing permanency. Case management support includes financial management, employment readiness, healthy meal planning, permanent housing advocacy, and/or other life skills. Additionally, Catholic Social Services connects individuals to resources that are available within their respective communities to sustain long-term housing stability.

The Transitional Housing Program Manager will exhibit positive leadership while supervising staff and oversee all programmatic functions including, but not limited to, program compliance, regulations/guidelines, hours of operation, and required documentation. This position will provide supportive services to all activities related to the daily operations and promote agency culture, learning, respect, and dignity.

Qualifications include:

· MSW or equivalent degree in Human Services preferred; BA/BS required.

· Experience providing direct care services and community outreach to homeless youth/young adults (ages 18-24)

· Experience working with mental health issues, substance use

· Possess considerable initiative, judgment, creativity, enthusiasm, and leadership

· Excellent organizational and communication skills

· Reliable transportation required
