RSi is seeking multiple Training Specialist Level II to join our team supporting our customer at Hurlburt Field, Florida.

Position Description Summary

The 492nd is responsible for the support, management, and facilitation of formal flight training for Air Force Special Operations Forces which includes campus facility and device management, contract quality assurance, medical and mental health support, training product development and innovation, and MDS program management. The squadron administratively manages and supports all officer and enlisted students enrolled in initial and mission qualification training for the AC-130J, MC-130H, U-28A, and C-146 in addition to Direct Support Operators non-rated Combat Aviation Advisor students.

The successful candidate will provide direct support to operate simulator devices' Simulated Automated Force (SAF) and/or simulator instructor operator stations for designated training devices.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Synthetic environmental coordinators (SEC) SEC support shall include the following:

  • SECs shall operate the consoles for training devices to ensure the device is configured properly for the training event. This includes but is not limited to: 'aircraft' configuration, environmental/flight conditions, geographic area, and threat environment.
  • IAW local procedures, SECs shall develop and update device scenarios; author and execute training event scripts.
  • SECs shall execute tactical scenarios in all training devices.
  • SECs will not instruct students but shall provide role player activities during training events.


Required Experience/Education:

Three (3) years of experience providing aircrew training and operational training for AFSOC within the past ten (10) years.

Proficient in scenario development and operation of various Semi-Automated Forces (SAF) programs (e.g., MACE, DI-Guy, VR Forces).
Possess the ability to learn and execute in the current SAF standard being utilized by the command.

Possess proven capability to operate training device consoles to ensure device is configured properly for the training event within six (6) months of hire. Within nine (9) months of hire, shall be capable operating all the unit's training devices on applicable training tasks respective to their designated MDS.


Preferred Experience:

Desired Qualifications MDS Aircrew (AC-130, MC-130, NSAV, U28, MQ-9)


Security Clearance Requirement:

Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret DoD Clearance

  • Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication, both verbally and written
  • Ability to interact professionally with coworkers, management, and customers

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a workstation / desk

Other Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment
