Training and Development Specialist - Pottsville, PA
(Full-Time)
The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of training content. Training includes new hire training, as well as development for existing Co-workers. Training content will be delivered by Instructor Led Training (ILT), Distance Learning and Hands on Training.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
1) Creates, organizes and delivers training content using multiple delivery platforms.
2) Understands each role within the organization. Researches and seeks input from SMEs and People Services to ensure continued understanding of roles.
3) Schedules and conducts touch base calls during the first 90 days of employment.
4) Works in conjunction with the Talent & Development Support Manager to create 30-60-90 Day reviews and Development Plans.
5) Follows up with previously trained Co-workers to ensure that content has been learned, comprehended, applied, retained, and is being used as intended throughout the course of the Co-worker’s job.
6) Organizes and conducts monthly calls with mentors.
7) Assists with additional training needs/projects.
8) The work environment for this position is fast paced with frequently changing priorities. A positive attitude and the ability to change direction quickly are required.
9) Keep accurate records and work with appropriate Co-workers to address concerns.
Additional Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong presentation skills and the ability to present material in a persuasive knowledgeable manner.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills and experience working with computer-based training tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to foster collaboration and work with people on all levels within the organization.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the cosmetology industry, school environment or similar setting in the area of training
• Demonstrated ability to organize and deliver content.
