DUTIES:
- Perform structural and body repairs on various types of Trailers.
- Repair or replace accident damaged parts that may consist of rail sections, roof sections, nose rails, side posts, roof bows, side sheets, and composite panels.
- Set and buck solid rivets.
- Use of an air hammer and drill, air shears, tape measure.
- Bolt or weld replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment.
- Safely perform repairs according to customer specifications in a timely manner and without any re-work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Trailer Technician, either building or performing structural and trailer body repairs.
- Basic mechanical abilities, removing, installing mechanical fasteners
- Knowledge of use of basic hand tools, vise grips, chalk line, squares
- Able to accurately read a tape measure and transfer those measurements
- Able to accurately drill holes and align components
- Welding/Fabrication skills preferred
- Able to safely work on scaffold and ladders
- Valid Driver’s License required. CDL-A preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or and equivalent combination of education is a plus but not required.
- Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions.
- Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and shop employees
- Positive attitude, Safety conscious, good instincts, and self-motivation
