Job description

As a trailer mechanic, you diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in large vehicles, such as semi-trucks and tractor-trailers. Your primary responsibility is the maintenance and repair of trailers. Your job duties are to identify problems, replace parts, and handle repairs to electrical systems, hydraulics, and brake systems. You report to a manager who ensures that repairs are completed to company standards.

Responsibilities of Trailer Mechanic:

• Applicants must be able to perform 17 point inspection on semi trailers/complete paperwork with minimal supervision.

• DOT Inspections and All Repairs Needed for Compliance (Brake System Repairs, Wiring/Lighting Repairs, etc.)

• Structural Repairs Requiring Cutting/Welding

• Keeping Detailed Record of Each Job Performed (Time, Parts, etc.)

Requirements:

• Experience working on commercial trailers, a valid driver's license, good communication and organizational skills

• Potential team members must be focused on delivering consistent, high quality work at all times.

Pay rate: Based on experience - After 60 days, we will do an evaluation and salary will be based on performance.
