Role: Full-Time Traffic Operator
Description: We are looking for a highly motivated, well organized, self-starter, and a team player who can work in shifts (AM or PM) at a Traffic Management Center located in Trenton, NJ. The Traffic Operator is responsible for monitoring live traffic pattern on TV monitors (video wall) and reporting any apparent unusual behavior of the traffic signal system or unusual traffic back-up.
Responsibilities
Closely monitor the traffic from a traffic management center on the video wall during the eight-hour shift documenting any unusual pattern at each traffic signal intersection of the various traffic signal corridors that are equipped with the modern technology.
Preparing weekly reports based on various traffic signal system software performance.
Performing Benefit/Cost analysis.
Collecting and/or analyzing traffic and/or traffic signal data.
Experience and Qualification:
- Two years of college in Engineering or related sciences.
- Excellent communication skills.
- General skills in analyzing and interpreting data.
- Ability to perform Benefit/Cost analysis.
- Minimum two-years in preparing reports.
- Familiar with various traffic signal system software data collection and interpretation.
Key Skills:
Collecting/Analyzing traffic/traffic signal data; Experience in performing Benefit/Cost analysis: Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and Power Point.
