Chicago Tour Guide

WeVenture is looking for guides passionate and enthusiastic about everything Chicago. We are currently interviewing for guides to lead our history, food, and architecture walking tours, day trips, and virtual tours in and around Chicago. If you have a love for promoting your city to others, are knowledgeable and friendly, and are seeking a flexible job to accommodate your schedule, we want to hear from you!

Please note this is a part-time position, with a possibility to grow as the company grows, especially during busy summer to fall months. We encourage applicants who will see this as supplemental income with the potential to grow into full-time in the future.

Candidates will be especially considered if they:

● Have experience in the food/beverage or travel industry and training in history, architecture, food, beer, wine, or spirits

● Are fluent in another language, particularly Spanish, Italian, and/or French

● Have weekend availability

WeVenture tours are not just tours. We don’t just schlepp our visitors from place to place: we aim to transform the way people travel, immerse them in locals’ perspectives of the city, and give them an experience they wouldn’t normally receive on their own. Our tours also aim to give back to our neighborhoods – we’re all about promoting local businesses, respecting the community and its locals, and even living sustainably and contributing as locals and guides ourselves!

Job Type: Part-Time

Salary: $20.00 to $35.00 /hour [plus tips and bonus opportunities]

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers are required to wear a mask while indoors. Tour guides are vaccinated.

• Chicago, IL 60601: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
