Job Title: Tool Room Technician (No Remote)

Locations: Waldwick, NJ

Job details::-

• Experience in mold building or fabrication
• Previous leadership roles
• RJG or Paulson Plastics training preferred.
• Excellent organization skills
• Computer skills in MS Excel and MS Word
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lead and train employees while sufficiently measuring the effectiveness of training.

Responsibilities::-

• Responsible for ensuring PM’s are carried out following all Client standard requirements and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ensure that molds are properly cleaned, stored and maintained.
• Employee must ensure repairs are made in a timely fashion following the production schedule.
• Responsible for training and implementation of procedures of all tool room trainees to ensure they are proficient and following all safety guidelines.
• Ensure safe working practices.
• Maintain the cleaning of all tool room equipment and machinery used to perform job functions.
• Oversee all maintenance for molds internal and external.
• ·Maintain records for all mold maintenance (planned PM or emergency repairs)
• Assist in coordinating toolroom employees.
• Keep employees on assigned tasks and deadlines.
• Identify training needs and provide adequate training for current and future business needs.
• Measure the effectiveness of training and ensure the learning material has been retained as expected.
• Recommend any equipment or machinery needed to perform job tasks for future and current business.
• Implement processes (5S) that can be used to ensure higher efficiency in mold PM turnaround.
• Minimize long term maintenance expenses and review all quotes for vendor selection to present to Project/Tool Room Manager.
• Identify and implement improvements in mold design.
• Responsible for fabricating any tolerance fixtures or gauges needed for operational or quality usage.
• Work with production to ensure mold longevity as well as full cavitation on all tools.
• Responsible for upholding the BRC Hygiene Standard and its focus on Product Safety
• Responsible for upholding all company environmental and energy initiatives and practices.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Mold building or Fabrication: 7 years (Preferred)
