Description
Headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, Fastening Solutions (FSI) regionally distributes and markets pneumatic tools, fasteners and packaging products to manufacturers, lumber yards and contractors. Specifically, FSI focuses on selling industry-specific, innovative packaging solutions and wood fasteners consisting of collated nails, staples, screws and tools.

The Inside Sales/Tool Repair Technician must be a self-motivated worker with good mechanical skills. The candidate selected will be trained on the mechanics of and how to troubleshoot air compressor pumps and pneumatic tools. Training will also include a good working knowledge of safety relief valves, pressure switches and control valves.

Essential Job Functions

• Repair and maintain various tools/equipment
• Work independently and in an organized manner
• Work with customers at the front counter as needed
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns
• Basic computer knowledge with good communications skills and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of pneumatic/air nailing or stapling tools, a plus

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Mechanically inclined
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
• Must be physically capable of unloading boxes of nails and staples
• Bilingual in Spanish and English, a plus
