Job Description

The therapeutic tech is responsible for providing supervision during program activities, transporting clients to and from program, participate in staff meetings and case conferences.

Additional Requirements

To qualify you must have a High School diploma with years of experience in working with adults in mental health field. Must have a current driver's license issued in the driver's state of residence without restrictions and with all necessary endorsements appropriate to the class of vehicle being operated. Must be computer literate, have Crisis Intervention Training, CPR certified, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational ability, and clinical skills. Prefer individuals with prior experience working with youth, Looking for individuals who are interested in joining a dynamic Clinical Team working with children ages 2, 5-5 years of age that are experiencing behavioral health symptoms that impede their ability to be successful. This is a support role and a wonderful opportunity for those interested in the field of behavioral health. Establishes and maintains supportive relationships with consumers. Serves as a broker between the needs and perspective of the consumer and the goals of the treatment system; may include educating treatment providers and advocating on behalf of the consumer. Information sharing regarding the emergency assessment and/or screening process. One-on-one attention and encouragement to individuals who are undergoing the emergency assessment / screening process. Role modeling / couching in the use of coping skills. Provides life coaching and personal assistance during a crisis episode. Participates in the development of wellness and recovery actions plans and helps consumers identify supportive services in the community that will assist in attaining of WRAP goals. Provides peer support to consumers as they strive to achieve their wellness and recovery goals. Shares their own experiences in developing and achieving their own wellness and recovery goals. Responsible for documentation in the patient s MR, per program s policies and procedures. Participates in case conferences, staff meetings, case presentations, supervision and on-site / off-site trainings as assigned. Follows established departmental / hospital policies and procedures and objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infectious control standards of JCMC and the host facility when conducting peer support at Affiliated Emergency Services. Maintains established departmental and hospital policies and procedures/objectives (including confidentiality, crisis management, cultural sensitivity, etc.). Meets productivity assignments. Meets customer satisfaction goals.
