Camp Chateaugay is a traditional, residential, co-ed, summer camp located in upstate New York in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. If you like working with children and being in the outdoors, this job could be for you!

Job Description:

As Camp Chateaugay's Theater Director you will be working with a team of 2-3 counselors to coordinate 2 shows over the summer (1 per session). These shows are open to all campers who wish to participate. You will hold auditions for the play and will be responsible for casting. As the theater director, you are expected to coordinate every aspect of the show, your counselors are there to help you and complete tasks as necessary. Experience with choreography is a bonus! Additionally, the theater director runs the department as a whole and so is responsible for holding activities for campers such as 'theater games'.

Important Information:

Please note: You must be willing to being at Camp Chateaugay in Upstate NY from June 14th 2023 - August 16th 2023.

General Staff Training Starts: June 16th 2023

End of camp & Staff leave: August 16th 2023.

Salary: From $1,100.00 per month
