We are a local family-owned brand new UPS Franchise in Waipahu, HI. We are seeking our first and most crucial employee for this new business who we want to work as our Store Manager for at least 5-10 years.

The store is scheduled to be open between June and July 2023; however, training will be required to begin about two months so thatr, so the start date will be approximately April/May 2023. We own several companies, so we have other work which can be reimbursed during training.

The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of this retail location. They will open and close the center, manage productivity, and ensure that the center’s team delivers world-class customer service to all customers, monitor expenses, and provide weekly and monthly reports to the franchise owner. The Store Manager is ultimately accountable for profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development.

The ideal candidate has college coursework, a degree (or relevant military experience), and two years of retail store operations experience. Candidate with have strong supervisory, managerial, and leadership skills, excellent computer/internet/business software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), The candidate knows how to listen, follow, lead, and help the franchise owner attain defined targets. They must have a dynamic, outgoing personality, help motivate a team to optimize performance, and demonstrate initiative and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maximize customer service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Communicate effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership
  • Operate all equipment, software, and devices expertly and is willing to teach others
  • Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions
  • Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
  • Open and close the store, perform end-of-day accounting, etc., or train associates in those skills
  • Schedule work assignments and facilitate weekly or monthly staff meetings
  • Assist in the Development of, and implement the store marketing program
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Oversees Center maintenance, including cleanliness, safety, and organization
  • Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
  • Packages shipments for safe arrival, including assembling stock boxes, building custom boxes, properly cushioning contents
  • Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high-quality control
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Stays current with The UPS Store training and correctly applies processes and procedures at the store

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree and/or relevant military experience
  • Retail/customer service experience, previous work at a UPS location a plus
  • One year of supervisory experience in logistics, retail, or other relevant industry
  • Willing to accept full accountability for store operations
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
  • Able to cross-sell and up-sell products and services
  • Good communication, team building, and people skills
  • Strong business-focused computer and internet skills
  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible
  • Able to lift 40+ pounds
