Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for Test Facilitator on the Oconee Campus. The Full Time Testing Facilitator's primary responsibility is scheduling all examinations, providing and coordinating test accommodations for eligible students. The Test Facilitator also meets with the students to review their accommodations and SAS testing policies and procedures. The Test Facilitator will have an excellent command of the English language and will be able to read college course materials proficiently. The individual will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal skills, as well as proficient computer skills. Flexibility is an absolute requirement as actual hours may vary. Weekend hours are not common but do occur on occasion.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule all tests, including regular course tests, placement tests, including Accuplacer and others as needed. Set up assistive technology that is required for the examinations. Provide training to students as needed. On some occasions serve as a reader or scribe for examinations. Procter lab exams in the Science building and order examinations in Braille or another alternative format as needed for university and standardized examinations. May have to support other Testing Facilitator positions on other campuses as well. Coordinate support staff during heavy testing periods, such as finals and midterms as needed.
  • Insure test integrity, monitor test takers via video surveillance, complete testing forms and recording start and finish times. Maintain an accurate and secure system for receiving tests and returning completed tests to instructors. Maintain strong customer service and professional relationships with faculty and staff. Maintain accurate testing records. Access and update the departmental database as needed.
  • Provide back up for note taker coordination, walk-ins, phone calls and other front office needs. Provide information and support to families, students, staff and faculty regarding the departmental processes and information regarding Accessibility Services. Able to represent the office at orientations, resource fairs, or open houses and participate in annual First Year Foundation workshops for new students working with the office.
  • Attend departmental, university, and division meetings and trainings. Provides support and coordination of services with other university departments and outside resources. Train with other Testing Facilitators across campuses. Communicate with instructors and staff and needed. Maintain current and up to date procedures and technology for testing purposes.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent reading skills of college level material
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Possess good phonetic and English grammar skills
  • Possess excellent organizational and note-taking skills
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • Prior experience in comparable position preferred
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required.
  • One year of academic testing required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Post-secondary experience and some experience with students with accommodations is preferred.
