Description

SUMMARY: The Test/Calibration Lead will be responsible for testing function of electronic assemblies, components, and parts according to established procedures using various electronic measuring devices; confirm or reject units based on instrument reading or monitor display compared with standard, and associated record keeping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure all equipment at Sibex is properly coordinated, including in house calibration, documentation, or work with vendors to get proper calibration completed.
  • Keep system updated with all equipment
  • Train Testers on testing procedures
  • Work closely with Sibex Supervisors, Managers and Office staff to keep other departments producing properly functioning products
  • Develop proper and simplified Testing procedures for Testers to use
  • Job essentials and responsibilities of a Tester.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. IPC knowledge and certifications preferred but will provide on the job training in expanding IPC knowledge and certifications. Electronics background, Contract Electronic Manufacturing, and ISO standards background A+.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: General Safety, Electrostatic Discharge Awareness, Product/Assembly Introduction, ISO Quality System Awareness, and various other ISO procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and/or stand, use hands to fingers, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Occasionally will walk, climb, balance and stoop. Good vision, color recognition, and manual dexterity needed in order to work on small objects for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Must be able to wear ESD protective garment, including ESD smock, foot and wrist straps, and protective safety glasses.
