We are seeking multiple community members to join the PROPEL project team. PROPEL is a multi-year research study funded by the National Institutes of Health and awarded to Iowa State University. We are studying romantic, long-term partners who are aged 40 years or older to understand how couples collaborate on everyday tasks during middle age and older adulthood. Our goal is to recruit 3-4 community members to join our team supporting project recruitment and in-person data collection. Convenient scheduling with 4-20 hours available per week and individualized responsibilities.

Building from team composition and individual skills and preferences, potential duties include:

• Assist with recruiting diverse couples in Iowa (e.g., community outreach)
• Co-lead in-person standardized sessions that include: (a) using multiple modalities (i.e., paper-pencil, iPad, and a computer) for data collection; (b) instructing participants how to collect saliva; and (c) preparing participants for use of an app at home
• Visit participants in their home to introduce the at-home app and help participants trouble shoot any challenges
• Record keeping (e.g., complete and archive recruitment and data collection materials)

• Organized with great attention to detail
• Superior verbal communication skills
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Experience leading a group or teaching
• Smart phone and computer proficiency and ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to complete research tasks at the ISU Research Park
• Availability during four-hour blocks (e.g., 8am-8pm) accommodating data collection
• Option for occasional travel for recruitment (e.g., day trip) and data collection with a small team (e.g., day trip, overnight trip)
