Job Description: Temp to Perm Live-in Housekeeper/Cook
Location: Locust Valley, NY
Schedule: May-Nov with year-round potential
Full-Time (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Tues-Sat with Flexible days and hours)
Accommodations: Very nice Private suite
Salary: $35 - $40/hr
A wonderful elderly client is seeking a temporary (May-Nov)Housekeeper/Cook for a home located in Locust Valley, NY. ( Eleven thousand square foot home)
You will report to the Estate Manager, and work with another Live-in Housekeeper.
Additionally, the position could become permanent should the candidate enjoy living in Boca Raton, FL during the winter season.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping
- Responsible for full charge housekeeping, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting, as appropriate, all floors and household surfaces, including antiques. General washing and pressing of family laundry and household linens are also required.
Cooking
- Responsible for cooking from recipes. (Lunch and Dinner when required) and also keeping the kitchen and dining areas service ready. * Client eats out or takes out often and eats leftovers.
- Maintain inventory system for provisioning each food/paper goods/cleaning supplies etc., coordinate with the House manager as to errands.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar capacity- Flexible with schedule changes and changing circumstance
- Prioritize executive tasks and multi-task effectively
- Driver’s License.
- Dog-friendly – 1 little dog
- Experience/training in service
- Strong communication skills with an upbeat personality
