As a Technology Sales Associate working in a retail location, you will serve as a representative of a third-party vendor, responsible for promoting and selling a range of technology products to customers. You will leverage your expertise in various technology categories to provide exceptional customer service, educate customers on product features, and ultimately drive sales. The role requires a strong understanding of technology products, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement and Sales: Greet customers, assess their needs, and provide personalized recommendations based on their requirements and preferences.
  • Educate customers on the features and benefits of various technology products
  • Effectively demonstrate product functionality and assist customers in making informed purchase decisions.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets by actively promoting products, upselling, and cross-selling related items
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Product Knowledge and Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, product releases, and industry advancements to effectively advise customers on the best solutions.
  • Conduct research and product comparisons to provide accurate and reliable information to customers.
  • Collaborate with the vendor's support and training resources to continuously enhance product knowledge and expertise.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate positive relationships with customers, providing personalized service and building customer loyalty.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with store management and staff, collaborating effectively to achieve sales goals.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, and conferences to foster relationships with the vendor's representatives and stay updated on product knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in technology or sales-related fields is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in technology sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Strong knowledge of various technology products, including smartphones
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new product releases and updates.
  • Sales-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
