Corbion is seeking a Food Technologist to play a key role in delivering food technology and application projects to support Corbion's Sustainable Food Solutions business. This team works closely with our business partners and applications teams in leading and executing projects to deliver products that meet the market and customer needs. In this role, you will also serve as a technical and knowledge resource for our internal and external customers.

Requirements:

• Support and execute bakery and non-bakery projects to develop new and improved products to address the needs of our customers
• Support and execute moderately complex projects including but not limited to procurement projects, product development, and experimental design
• Achieve project objectives by working cross functionally with operations, master data, procurement, and RDA
• Report/discuss work status and other critical information with peers and RDA management
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to develop project objectives
• Facilitate prototype development and participate in the conception and development of new prototypes
• Establish and document specifications for new products based on lab development and plant trials
• Cultivate a team atmosphere with peer groups and upper management
• Assist in maintaining a lab environment that is clean, organized, and work ready
• Be flexible in taking additional tasks as needed to support company's business goals

Qualifications:

• Basic formulation and industrial processing knowledge relating to bakery products
• Bachelor's Degree in Bakery Science, Food Science, Cereal Chemistry, or related fields
• 0-2 years of technical experience/development work with a major food or food ingredient company is required
• Master's Degree, AIB, or CMB a plus, but not required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work independently to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Proven success communicating to a wide range of audiences concerning technical and business needs
• Problem solving skills
• Self-starting attitude
• General understanding of bake lab analytical equipment
