Pay Info: Sign On Bonus: $7,500/2 year commitment

Department Details

This position is full time 40 hours a week working 8:00am to 4:30pm. Rotating call is required which is a week long and goes from Tuesday at 4:30pm to the following Tuesday at 8:00am.

Duties:
Running EEG tests
Will work with all ages from babies up to geriatrics
Will work with ambulatory and long-term care patients, but mostly inpatients
Sleep center paperwork
Evoked Potentials - monitoring the patients nerves from feet up to the brain
We have the only accredited Neuro EEG Lab facility in all of ND, SD, Montana, and Iowa
Our accredited EEG Lab is 1 of 184 in the nation
Job Summary

Responsible for performing procedures or testing for all patient populations. Understands the testing equipment in detail, including its structure, function, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance procedures. Understands and is able to apply principles of anatomy and physiology, normal and abnormal, related to procedures performed. Possesses working knowledge of the disease and pathological conditions encountered. May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for patients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Graduated from an approved program of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred. Completion of department approved training program is required.

Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, general knowledge of electroencephalography (EEG) and evoked potentials (EP) instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions is preferred. Experience in area of specialty or applicable health care experience is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
