Job Title : Technical Writer

Location : Rochester, NY

Job Description

• Develops complete operator and service manuals for medical equipment
• Develops and maintains standard templates to be used in the manuals
• Develops technical training packages to be used by the Product Support staff
• Completes product Technical and Safety Bulletins
• Creating style sheets by using epic editor.
• Should have Knowledge on DITA and CMS implementation
• Writes safe work instructions
• Experience in managing translations and Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Participates in the continuous improvement process.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience in writing technical manuals of medical domain or lap Equipment
• Experience with Epic Editor and Adobe Frame maker (or similar) is preferred;
• Collect information regarding product changes, inspect machines under construction, researching client literature
• Create literature which is grammatically correct, concise and clearly conveys the required information to Dealer/Customer personnel.
• Ensure that the grammar, format and expression of all literature is consistent with Client standards.
• Use information from Client systems to ensure that the relevant literature is written and issued in a timely manner.
• Should have Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic knowledge with an engineering degree or equivalent diploma.
• Exceptional communications skills both verbal and written along with strong analysis skills will assist with your success in this position.
• Working alongside other departments will create a team environment for this role.
• The candidate will need to demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and a focus on safety and quality.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
