Description: Ensure proper classification and subsequent protection of document, computer systems, and other nuclear-related items of importance of national security. The subcontractor will undergo introductory training to the SRPPF process and work alongside SRPPF Design Authority to gain a broad understanding of the SRPPF project and its processes. Concurrently, the subcontractor will receive training from the SRNS Classification Office to understand the applicable guides and become fully qualified as a DC/RO for the SRPPF process. After receiving training in both areas, the subcontractor’s ensure proper classification and subsequent protection of document, computer systems, and other nuclear-related items of importance of national security.

DC/RO Technical Support Specialist Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Ensure proper classification and subsequent protection of documents, computer systems, and other nuclear related items of importance to national security, originated or controlled by SRNS and subcontract organizations prior to release of such items for widespread distribution and public release of such items for widespread distribution and public release.
  • Respond to request for technical support and provides guidance and oversight to field organizations to ensure proper and use of classification guidance.
  • Provide technical support and interpretative guidance for DC/ROs and answer questions from other site personnel.
  • Interface with SRNS Classification Office staff as needed to respond to requests, assist in development of classification and UCNI guidance, answer scientific and technical questions, and enforce requirements.
  • Brief all levels of management on classification issues and classification requirements for sensitive technologies and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with DOE orders and manuals, federal regulations, and company policies and procedures.

Subcontractor shall be responsible for the management and execution of assigned programs/projects in accordance with the requirements of SRNS, and the operating policies and principles. The Subcontractor is accountable for the execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and required specifications for the project.

Experience / Skills / Education

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance with Weapons Data access.
  • Experience within nuclear processing facilities, nuclear weapons facilities, or security disciplines at a DOE or DOD facility
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline, cybersecurity, or computer science
  • Experience with nuclear materials handling/processing
  • Experience as a DOE derivative classifier
  • Ability to operate Windows Microsoft Office applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $57.00 per hour
